Workplace Workshops

Transition and Performance Coaching

The best policies and procedures in the world sometimes can’t avert a problem when it comes to a person performing at work. I’ve coached recent graduates, new managers, women returners and women moving from practitioner to manager to leader status. Sometimes it’s the external, fresh ear that makes a vital difference to that person’s performance. In 1:1 coaching sessions we work towards plans that are jointly agreed by the coachee and their line manager (where appropriate) as well as having time to discuss personal issues that are affecting that person’s professional focus, drive and success. We’re only human after all.

Wellbeing Workshops

What do you do when you want to help your people become more proactive, happier and healthier? Veolia got me in to run a series of 60 minute lunch-time workshops that proved a big success with people from all areas and levels of the business. Storytelling, music, action-planning, big powerful visuals all made these workshops have impact. People could report three months later what they’d done since coming along and the difference it was making to their performance at work so this is seriouslty ‘sticky’ learning. Need something interesting to spice up your learning and development programme? Want to help your people manage stress or the illusive life balance thing? I specialise in bespoke, bitesize solutions.

Creativity Cauldrons

Need to inject some fresh thinking into your organisation? Want to to jazz up your annual strategy meeting? Need to pep up your planning meetings? Have a Creativity Cauldron session where we spark a fire (figuratively, unless you want to go wild outside, which we can definitely do with the right venue) and bubble up ideas, options, possibilities and then evaluate which you like and what you’ll do with them. It what’s the Community Investment Team at Barclays chose to do at their 2010 leadership summit.

Team Workshops

Got a new team? Bringing a project group together? Mutual respect, co-operation and shared values are the foundations to a successful team but how do you get from functioning to fluorishing? Team workshops are ideal for an away day or an extended team meeting. Lesley Davis, then head of Learning & Development at Marks & Spencer, reflecting on a workshop blend of theory, practice and fun I delivered for her team:

“May I thank you again for working so decisively and responsively to make the team workshop happen at short notice. It didn’t just go well….it went fantastically well!”

  • Jessica coached and ran the session with energy, she was incisive with the information she gleened and drew out lots of relevant examples and links.
  • The content of the session was a great balance of theory and fun.
  • The session had a very positive effect on the the rest of the team workday/ meeting - the participation levels on business covered in the afternoon were markedly improved.
  • The feedback from the team was overwhelmingly positive. At the end of the full day, I did a round up of what worked and what opportunities missed from the day - every group of the four groups ( 21 people in total ) highlighted the session as an excellent activity that really motivated them to strive to work as a team.
